New Delhi – 14th August, 2013: A grand event was organised by SUBHAG FOUNDATION at India Habitat Centre on Independence Day eve to mark its launch, in the form of Prize Distribution Ceremony of its first Poster Design Competition which is proposed to be an annual event. The poster design competition had the themes like “My beautiful India”, “India of my dreams” and “My vision of India in 2023” for different age groups. The Ceremony was attended by well-known academicians, medical and corporate professionals. The Chief Guest of the ceremony was Dr (Mrs.) Shayama Chona, Padma Shree and Padma Bhushan awardee. In her address she advised that the people associated with charity organisations should not think that they are givers instead what you receive in terms of satisfaction and happiness when you see smile on a child’s face is much more precious. Other eminent guests present were veteran educationist Mrs.Lata Vaidyanathan, Principal Modern School Barakhamba Raod, New Delhi and Mrs. Archana Pantel from DPS Vasant Vihar.

The event included performance by the SUBHAG Foundation children. The confidence enthusiasm and happiness these children reflected in their performance was amazing, one could easily see the transformation of these kids within few months of very positive approach of ‘learning with fun’ by Subhag teachers. These children eagerly wait for and love to come to Subhag Learning Centre. The programme also included performance by Nehru World School children, a Shriram Stuti by Chitrakshi Kashyap and education and health related talks. Hence both the components of the SUBHAG Foundation programme, i.e. education and healthcare were covered through this event.

Mrs Jyoti Mahajan, Mrs Madhu Vasudevan and Mrs Priti Ojha, the judges for the competition, were amazed at the creativity and the vision of participants as the 1500 plus posters were judged on their concept, caption and design as parameters.
