Financial Inclusion

Starting a "Financial Inclusion" initiative at Subhag Foundation we opened new zero balance Bank accounts under "Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojna". Two officials of J&K Bank, Janakpuri branch opened the accounts at our center and gave the pass books to new account holders. We found out that lots of people of the under privileged section of the society don't go to the bank because of hesitation & fear as they are illiterate and don't have much money to put in. This is our on going activity where we continue to create awareness among the children and masses about the benefits of having a bank account. We help and teach them about how to do banking transactions as well till they are confident by themselves. We also distributed Gullaks to children to inculcate habit of saving. Children have been told to deposit at least Re.1 everyday. Once filled the children will themselves deposit the amount in their bank account.
