Health Care Initiatives:

SUBHAG Foundation believes that a healthy child will perform better in academic field and also later on in life. We conduct regular health assessment of the children by qualified health care professionals and follow it up with further interventions, if and when necessary. We also firmly believe in 'Prevention is better than cure'. In this respect, emphasis of the Foundation is very much on a health care model designed to pre-empt diagnosing health care issues common in the underprivileged children in school going age group.

Health and education go very much together. We have key indicators which suggest that for every one-year increase in the average education of reproductive-age women, countries like India experienced a significant decrease in the child deaths. By educating these children we are also investing in the positive health of the future generations. This is one of the reasons for SUBHAG Foundation to address twin issues of Education and Health together on a single platform.

YOGA:

As part of preventive health care YOGA is regularly practiced at our Learning Centers. Our children participate regularly at International YOGA Day celebrations too.

Yoga has become increasingly popular among children in recent years, and for good reason. The practice of yoga offers numerous benefits that are especially important for young minds and bodies. First, yoga helps children develop strength, flexibility, and balance. These physical benefits contribute to overall health and well-being. Additionally, yoga teaches children mindfulness and relaxation techniques, which can help them manage stress and anxiety. It also improves concentration and focus, enhancing their academic performance.

Distribution of Milk and Fruits is also part of our Health Care program. Some other activities like celebration of festivals and birthdays at the center is also a regular feature to keep the children cheered up and motivated. We also organise Lectures and Workshops on health & hygiene, protection and prevention against abuse and other topics time to time to inculcate life skills.

SUBHAG Foundation believes that each child has a certain strength which needs to be recognized and nurtured. Our Learning Centers have thus been designed and created as happy and cheerful centers which, while working on the academically weaker areas of children, bring out their strengths and nurture them and recognize their weaknesses, only to convert them into their strengths. Our Learning Center has around 60 registered children, a mix of girls and boys from different age groups, who attend regular Mathematics, English, General Knowledge, Art & Craft and Computers classes. The teaching is conducted by qualified, trained and experienced teachers. The subjects are taught with the help of theme-based hands-on activities & worksheets supported by Audio-visual aids

Academic Initiatives:

In order to keep the results of the children's language, cognitive and social skill development measurable, a development route is created for each child based on his/her developmental milestone. Hence a baseline needs analysis is considered very essential to work on the vision carved out by SUBHAG's Academic mentors. Children are kept on their toes with exciting games and healthy competitions. An example of this is the SUBHIGIAN of the week and SUBHAGIAN of the month declaration which are based on value based parameters like punctuality, empathy, behaviour and regularity.

We are committed to bring out the best potential in each child associated with us. We deliver interventions aimed at creating emotionally & financially strong youth and nurture values among children aimed at creating responsible & proud citizens.

Over the years, the Foundation has demonstratively achieved extraordinary results with academic initiatives and life-skills.
It has provided the impetus to increase the number of children being supported by us.

We also take the children out time to time for educational tours, picnics and participate in the events organized by some other organizations too which helps in their personality development through social interaction.

These activities play a significant role in a child's education and personality development as they provide practical experiences that cannot be replicated in a classroom setting alone.

Moreover, picnics allow children to build a connection with nature, promoting a healthy lifestyle and appreciation for the environment. Similarly, social interaction fosters their communication skills, empathy, and teamwork abilities

Digital & Financial Inclusion:

DIGITAL INCLUSION:
Computer literacy is crucial in today's world due to the immense reliance on technology in various aspects of life. In virtually every field, from healthcare and education to business and entertainment, computers have become indispensable tools. Being literate in computer usage ensures efficient communication, information retrieval, and data management. Moreover, computer skills open doors to numerous career opportunities, as many professions now require a basic understanding of technology.

FINANCIAL INCLUSION:
Financial inclusion refers to the access and availability of financial services to all individuals, regardless of their income level or social status. It aims to empower individuals and communities by providing them with the means to save, invest, and protect their assets. When people have access to affordable and reliable financial services such as banking, credit, insurance, and investment opportunities, they are more likely to overcome poverty, create opportunities for monetary growth, and reduce vulnerability to economic shocks. Financial inclusion also plays a crucial role in promoting economic growth and reducing inequality by ensuring that everyone can participate in the formal financial system and benefit from it.
Project SAKSHAM is our Financial Inclusion / Awareness program. Project Saksham, at Subhag Foundation works towards enabling people so that they can transact comfortably and conveniently in today’s cash less economy through a little hand holding. Under this project we help under privileged families to get their Aadhaar and voter ID cards made, open their Bank accounts, create awareness about Insurance, education loans, Micro financing, Mobile/E-wallets etc.

Social Awareness & Empathy:

Social awareness and empathy through Poster Design/Poetry writing Competition:
We believe that social empowerment for the underprivileged children can come through by building larger social awareness and empathy among school children from all walks of life. With this in mind and to reach out to schools in our larger community we conduct several activities throughout the year.
Our flagship project, Subhag’s Annual Poster Design/Poetry writing Competition reaches out to several supporting schools from all over India, held annually it has been a resounding success.

Tree Plantation:

SUBHAG children participate in Tree Plantation drive every year. They learn about the importance of Trees in our life, protecting nature, protecting animals and about its effects on Climate change. It educates children about the significance of environmental conservation from a young age, fostering a sense of responsibility towards nature. By actively participating in tree planting activities, children learn values of empathy, teamwork, and cooperation as they work together towards a common goal.
